UK Blade as a company use to be based in Chesterfield, England, this is when producing the Junior Hacksaw Blades the steel supplier for this material was Ben Bennett Jr. Ltd. In 2010 UK Blade went into difficulty and that's when Ben Bennett Jr. Ltd. saw an opportunity for another business adventure.
After the purchase of the UK Blade company, we decided to move premises and brought all the machinery down to Rotherham to the same building as Ben Bennett Jr. Ltd.
There is 3 stages on producing the perfect type of Junior Hacksaw Blade, it all starts with our milling machines this is where we put the teeth onto the steel strip with different types of cutters depending on our customer's demands there are 3 different types of teeth per inch for the Junior Hacksaw Blade 32, 24 & 14TPI (Teeth Per Inch).
The next stage after the milling process is onto our hardening lines, this is where our operator sets the flames to the right temperature and correct speed to harden just the teeth on the Junior Hacksaw to make sure our customer gets the most use out of the blade.
The final stage is our high tech pinning machines, this is where the coil is loaded up and fed into the machines and produces the pins into the blade and cuts to a 6" Junior Hacksaw Blade British standard.
Most recently we have had a machine made to produce the junior hacksaw blades with a more precise finish and more quality type of blade, this was installed in 2019 which we currently have 4 pinning machine lines now to keep up with our orders that is high in demand.
